Mixture of a blog, Brussels, stamps etc

Hi,

Well this is just a mixture of a blog today because I have got so many exciting things to tell you! Yes, I went to Brussels to Stampin’Up! Onstage Live!  It was extra special for me because it was the first time I had earned CentreStage, which is for those Leaders of Teams who had promoted to Silver 2 or Silver Elite and above!  It was a great time meeting up with fellow Demonstrators from Europe, as well as other Countries, Australia, America, Canada etc.  We had a very sad moment when we all heard the news about Paris because we had Demonstrators from France, who obviously were very upset.  These lovely ladies are our ‘sisters’ and we all united and comforted each other and decided to carry on the convention if a little subdued.

I will be posting pictures of the event along with my swap and other swaps I received plus all the freebies in the next couple of days, but I also wanted to tell you about the latest offer on stamps!

For a limited time only (16 – 20 NOVEMBER ONLY) you can get 20% discount on selected Stamp Sets! That is an amazing offer, so don’t miss out, click on the link on my sidebar which will take you to my online shop where you will see all the lovely stamp sets you can order.  In case you miss the link here it is also 20% Discount on Stamps

It is also that time of year when we start to say goodbye to some of our products from our Autumn/Winter Catalogue.  Before they go you have the chance to purchase them if you haven’t already. So click on the link on my sidebar or here’s the link Retiring Autumn/Winter Stock

Come back soon to see what I got upto in Brussels.

Thanks

Wow what a project this month!

Hi,
Well my classes said they wanted a challenge to make something different, so who was I to refuse! lol Wow what a project this month!

The three classes I ran this month made the same card-I did have another project in hand ‘in case’ they managed to finish this one, but I defeated them! lol

Angled Crossover Card Front

Angled Crossover Card Front

I designed an ‘Angled Crossover Card’, which was in itself a new Folding technique they hadn’t done before, plus stamping all over the base card to look like Designer speciality paper. Then covered the card in lovely butterflies to give it a real ‘WOW’ Factor!

First of all I cut and scored the two pieces of whisper white cs so they slotted together to make the ‘Angled Crossover Base’. Then I used the Garden in Bloom Stamp set which is a 2-step stamp set. First of all I stamped all the outlines of the flowers, stems, leaves and bees using the outline stamps and Black Stazon Ink. Then filled them in with different coloured Inks using the Fill-in stamps from the same stamp set, really good value this stamp set! Once all sides of the base card were stamped all over, I then sponged all over all sides with Pool Party and a sponge dauber. This was very subtle but really enhanced the flowers etc. Once completed, slot the two pieces together to make the cross-over angled card.

To finish off I stamped large and small butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Daffodil Delight Inks. I punched them out using the matching Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches. These then had their wings curled using a bone folder, stuck one on top of another to make 4x of each size/colour butterfly and stuck onto the card using Glue dots.

I stamped and fussy cut two Dragonflies from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp set and Wild Wasabi Ink. These were stuck one on top of the other with 2-way glue pen, the wings curled and stuck to card with glue dots. Finally, I stamped Best wishes from Petite Pairs stamp set, punched out with Washi Label Punch and stuck to front of card with a Dimensional and stuck another piece of whisper white cs on back of card to write on.

I hope you agree with me and my classes that it really is a magnificant card, well worth the time and effort to make. Has to be a very special person that receives this card! lol

Best get off lots more to design and prepare for my next Christmas Themed Workshop, oh and my Coffee n Card next week!
Thanks for dropping by!

Great Saturday Monthly Class!

Hi,

What a great Saturday Monthly Class! So much fun, very lively and we made two amazing Cards!

This is the first one: Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Congratulations Card:

Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Card  Closed Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Card

This card is really eye-catching and everyone that has seen some of the other versions I have made as well as this one has fallen in love with the concept and wanted to make one for themselves!  It fits nicely into a 5″ x 5″ envelope and when ‘blinged’ up well WOW! lol. To see more versions I have made take a look at my Gallery pages here or go to my Pinterest Boards.

We had half an hour remaining of the class so we made a simple birthday card using the Sweetbriar Rose Stamp set again and heat embossing:
Here’s the card:

I will be teaching the classes this Friday and next Friday how to make them too, hope they have as much fun as the group last Saturday did and they love the cards too!

Here’s the supplies I used for both cards:

We used marbles in July classes!

Hi,
Who would think playing with marbles as ‘Adults’ could be soooo much fun! lol. Very addictive too lol.

In my July classes I had my ladies laughing so much, which, when I described what we were going to do, their faces said ‘you what? yeah right!’ lol was hilarious in itself!

We used the ‘Marbles Technique’ to make a background on both cards. Then we used the Stamp Set, Sprinkles of Life and Tree Builder Punch to create two lovely cards.

So here are the cards we made using marbles, an empty stamp set box, card and some ink refill.

The marbling technique is a great way to get different backgrounds, depending on the colour Ink Refills you use and how you roll the marbles around. I also made my swaps for the Pinkies Training I went to yesterday; a bookmark with a flower on it. I used the Angle Topped Punch and the Pansy Punch. I made a flower using the Bouquet Bigz L Die and big shot and I also used the new Cotton Paper which feels really weird but gave a great result.  In fact in the class on Saturday, a Bumble bee came into the Craft room and it thought the flower was real, flew straight over to it to try and collect the pollen! Bless. One of the ladies rescued it and showed it the real flowers lol. Here’s a couple of pictures of my bookmark, and the flower the bumble bee mistook for a real one lol and another card I showed the ladies as an example of a different way to use the marbling technique.

My Swap for our Pinkies Quarterly training

My Swap for our Pinkies Quarterly training

At the Pinkies Quarterly Training at Croughton yesterday, I did an Inspiration table showcasing how to do the ‘Marbling Technique’ to make different backgrounds for cards etc. It was a great day at the Training, meeting fellow Pinkies Demonstrators, exchanging swaps, getting inspiration from them and spending the day crafting! It went way too quickly and I only managed to make two of the 4 projects we were given to make throughout the day!

I am putting together the Tutorials and Videos of this months Marbling Technique and how to make the three cards shown here which you can purchase. If you would be interested in purchasing the Tutorials, please email me and once you have paid for them via paypal, I will email them out to you. If you purchase the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and the Tree Builder Punch from my Online shop, not only will you get the Tutorials FREE you will have exclusive access to my Videos showing you the Marbling Technique but also how to make the three cards. So please email me, tell me which you would like to do, just buy the Tutorials or buy the Sprinkles of Life Stamp set and Tree Builder Punch and have exclusive access to the videos plus get the Tutorials FREE.
I am in the process of getting this to work automatically, but I am learning ‘on the job’ so please be patient. You can of course purchase the Stamp Set and Tree Builder punch now from my online shop. Then once the order has been confirmed, I can email you the tutorials and videos. In the meantime, please subscribe to this website so you will be kept upto date when I put new items on here and be the first to know!

Here was the first one: The stamp set, ‘You’ve Got This’.  When I first saw it at Telford, when I went with some of my team to a Stampin’Up! training, I loved it and knew I had to have it! Do you ever feel like that, you are shown something and you sit there thinking oh my goodness gotta have that! lol

Money Wallets & Product-based Classes

Hi everyone,

I want to talk to you today about my Product-based Classes and the Money Wallets I taught in a 1-2-1 I had today. I am busy trying to get my website with all the information I can as quickly as I can.  Thank you for you patience, it is still a work in progress, but hopefully you have enjoyed what you have seen so far. If you go to my Product-based Classes Page (under Classes) you will see the Timetable for the Brand New Classes starting in July. You will also see the projects you will be making in the July classes using the Stamp Set you will receive at the Class to take home with you. The Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set we will be using is included in the Class price, which means you can produce more gorgeous cards with your own stamp set when you get home all inspired after the class.

The following month, August will be using Build a Birthday Stamp Set! As it is one of the Brand New Stamp Sets, I have not yet bought mine so have not made the projects we will be making in the classes but you can see samples of projects from the Brand New Catalogue – out today!

So please go check out the Product-based Classes page and book those places soon as spaces are limited!

I had a lovely 1-2-1 class this morning with a lovely lady at her home.  She wanted to make a couple of Money Wallets so I made one as a sample using the Brand New In-Color Cardstock, marker pens, along with the absolutely gorgeous Bohemium DSP!  I also used one of my favourite Stamp sets from Last Year ‘In This Together’, although she chose to put something else on.

So here is the wallet I made (I can’t show you hers, lol but hope they like them).
