Mother’s Day Card/Gift

Hi,

It’s been a while since I last posted, sorry, but have been soooo busy, not only with classes etc, but have just become a Nanna, so of course that takes priority!

That’s why I thought my Coffee n Card this Thursday (25 February 15:00-16:00) at No.9 Cafe, Bishops Cleeve should involve making a lovely Mother’s Day card and gift!

botanicals mothers day card gift

Don’t you think the Card is so cute? Just the right size for you to give to your mum.  I am even providing the Chocolates inside the Gift packaging (shhhhh) lol.  So why not drop in and make a gorgeous Mother’s Day card/gift for your lovely mum to say thanks for all they have done and do!

Below are the list of supplies I have used for both of the projects. Just click on any of the products below and you will be taken to my Online shop where you can purchase the products and have them sent directly to your home. Click on ‘Supply List’ just below the product showcase below and you will see not only the list of products I’ve used, but also the Tutorials for making these projects in a downloadable PDF. Please give me credit if you use them. Thanks.

Baby Shower

Hi,

Now I know what you are all probably thinking – ‘baby shower’ huh? What’s that got to do with papercrafting?  Well, I will tell you! lol

You see, my lovely daughter and her hubby are expecting their first baby soon and a couple of their lovely friends were organising a baby shower, so I asked if they would like me to make the baby shower invites, favours and anything else.  They said they’d love it if I would so I got to work first of all making the baby shower Invites.  It was so exciting, making these for our daughter as it will be our first grandchild too!

I made a ‘nappy’ template and cut out 24 of them, folded them and then using a really cute stamp of a deer from a stamp set called ‘Made with Love’, from Stampin’Up!, I stamped all over the inside and outside of the nappy, using black stazon ink.  Then I coloured all the deer, although I must admit I only coloured the ones on the outside of the nappy – well colouring 24 of them was soooooo time consuming and boring hehehe. Then I stamped on Whisper White CS 24 Nappy Pins using a nappy pin stamp from ‘Something for Baby’ stamp set and cutting them out with the matching die from ‘Baby’s First’ Framelit dies. I added a velcro fastener to the back to the nappy pin to enable the nappy to be open and closed.

I then cut some Whisper White CS and stamped ‘Please Join us for a Baby Shower’ on it. This was from the stamp set ‘Sweet li’l One’. I layered this up onto some So Saffron CS and stuck it to the back of the nappy. (it looks smudgy as I blanked out the name of the person getting the invite)

baby shower invite back

I cut another piece of Whisper White CS and stamped ‘when, where, RSVP and wrote out the details (I’ve blanked those details out, hence the smudgy look lol). Again I layered this onto So Saffron and stuck it to the inside of the nappy.

Here’s all the baby shower invites together ready to send out! I was so thrilled how they turned out and more importantly so was my daughter, her hubby and her friends.

baby shower invites lots

Next I set to making the favour boxes and tags.  I wanted to make the tags very special, something everyone could keep as a memory of the lovely day.  So I got some small Kraft boxes from Stampin’Up!, cut five squares per box of So Saffron CS and stamped stars all over using Delightful Dijon Ink. The star stamp also came from the ‘Sweet li’l One’ stamp set. Then I stuck these to the boxes using Tombow glue.  I made the tag with Whisper White CS and used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch for the top of the tag.  The ‘A Little Thanks’ sentiment, isn’t that just lovely? Well it came from the ‘One Big Meaning’ Stamp set, and the cute cat was from the ‘Made with Love’ stamp set again.  Told you ‘baby shower’ would have everything to do with papercrafting and Stampin’UP! lol  Finally I stamped the deer again on some Whisper White CS and punched it out using the scallop circle punch, sponging the edges with so saffron ink.  I attached the tag to the box using Hello Honey Satin Ribbon, glue dots and covered the ends of the ribbon with the scallop punched Deer stuck on with Dimensionals.  I hope you agree they look gorgeous and everyone was thrilled to have them, especially when they saw the tiny tic tacs box and 3 little chocolate eggs inside. lol

baby shower favour front tag

On the back of the tag I stamped a baby bumblebee, another Stampin’Up! stamp unfortunately now retired, but I held onto it – just in case! lol

baby shower favour box back

My daughters friends wanted to do some games but nothing too ‘out there’ lol so they suggested people could write on a card a message to my daughter, hubby and the baby.  I told them I had a lovely tree I’d bought ages ago from Stampin’Up! for displaying my Cards but never got round to using it – well I did buy three! lol  So I said I’d prepare the cards and bring them along with the tree and clothespins – yep Stampin’Up! again hehe for everyone to write on. As you can see from the card, I used some Project Life Grid cards, stamped stars all over to match the favour boxes and ‘Welcome to the World little one’ again both stamps from ‘Sweet li’l One’ stamp set.  Actually I must come clean, my darling hubby helped by stamping all the stars on all the cards for me! hehe.

Tree of dreams and wishes

When my daughter and hubby got home from the baby shower, they sat down and read all the lovely dreams and wishes everyone had written and apparently they were lovely.  We haven’t seen them, I think it’s something for them to have for themselves.  It is going into the babies room, as a reminder of the special day when all their friends celebrated with them.

Finally I decided in a moment of madness to make a Diaper Cake!  How mad was I, and again my poor suffering hubby was pulled in to help me. lol  I rolled up 108 (I think it was) nappies and he put elastic bands on all of them.  Then we got the biggest cake stand and placed some on that securing them into a circle with elastic – that was the most tricky bit and frustrating hehe.  We placed a gift in the middle of that layer, then placed a smaller cake stand on top and repeated the process and then a smaller one for the top layer.  Putting little gifts in middle of all the layers.  Then we put muslin squares around each layer to resemble icing and secured them with gorgeous ribbon (yep had to get Stampin’UP! products in here somehow lol).  We put a muslin square on the top of the cake and added a lovely toy deer – get the theme – deer? hehe.  We covered it all in cellophane, tying it up with some of the Hello Honey ribbon I used earlier on the tags.

baby shower diaper cake

Phew it was a mammoth task to finish everything in time, but with hubbies help we did it! So you see ‘Baby Shower’, the title certainly had everything to do with papercraft and Stampin’Up!  We had a wonderful day at the baby shower and I’m sure our daughter and her hubby will have lots of lovely memories of that day.

So if I have inspired you to have a go at making your own baby shower invites etc, place an order and I will give you the instructions to make everything I made.  It’s so nice doing it yourself, you get to choose a theme, in this case, I ran deers and yellow all the way through, and you can make it unique to you and your loved ones.

Thanks for dropping by.

It’s My Party Suite

Hi,

I hope you enjoyed my cards I showed in our recent Pinkies Blog hop, using ‘It’s My Party’ Suite from Stampin’Up!  This suite is amazing and I LOVE IT! The stamp set has so many lovely stamps including lovely sentiments, everything you need to make gorgeous cards, whether for younger children or adults. There is also gorgeous Designer Speciality Paper (DSP) which is 12″ x 12″ so plenty to make lots of cards, boxes and gift wrapping.  Then there is the cute little Party Punch Pack which when you see them you will fall in love with them.  The great thing about them is that the stamped image is slightly bigger than the punch so when you punch them out there is no white area surrounding it – so much more realistic.

Here’s the first card I did in my blog hop participation, a Slider Card.

slider card pulled up slider card inside slider front

I taught this in two of my classes this weekend and everyone thought it was amazing. They said that even though it took concentration to make lol they really enjoyed it and would be making more.  This will be easier for them as I have made a video and a written tutorial for them lol.  You too can have access to the video and a copy of the written tutorial by placing a £45+ order with me by clicking on the products from the listing below. As soon as it goes through I will email you the video link and tutorial. Remember don’t tick ‘NO contact’ when placing your order, as I won’t be able to access your details so won’t be able to send the tutorial or video link to you.  Don’t forgot also for every £45 you spend between 5 January and 31 March which is Saleabration time, you can choose a FREE Product from the Saleabration (SAB) Catalogue. There’s stamp set, gorgeous DSP, embossed vellum and Project Life Cards.

Here are the products I used to make this gorgeous slider card.

We didn’t have time to make the other card, so we will make that one in next months class. Here it is though along with the products I used to make it. Again click on the products below to order from my online shop and if the order is £45+ you not only get to choose a FREE SAB product, but I will email you (once the order has gone through) a link to the video and a written tutorial. Pinkies Blog Hop

blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

The New Spring/Summer Catalogue has sooo many gorgeous products it was sooo hard to choose one product to showcase.  I did eventually choose products from the ‘It’s My Party’ Suite which includes the Party Wishes Stamp Set, It’s my Party DSP Paper stack, which is 12″ X 12″.  I also used the ‘Confetti’ Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and finally the Party Punch Pack, so small and cute, but gives a huge Punch! lol

Here is the first Card I made, it is a Slider Card which is great fun and interactive.

slider front

This is the slider Card closed, waiting to reveal its ‘secret’!  Isn’t the It’s my Party DSP Paper Stack so bright and cheerful” I love it!

slider card pulled up

Here the slider is pulled up to reveal the sentiment underneath and on the pulled up Tag more embellishment! There are so many Stamps in the Party Wishes Stamp Set, so much choice.

slider card inside

I decorated the inside of the card too!  This time I stamped the Cupcakes and the Balloons (again from the Party Wishes Stamp Set) then punched them out using the Party Punch Pack. The three strings for the balloons were stamped using Archival Black Ink.

There are three punches in the Party Punch Pack; the cupcake, balloon and the candle (which I have used in my other project).  They are so cute and what is also great about them, you will no longer have white edging around the stamped images when they are punched out because the punches are slightly smaller than the stamps! Brilliant, making the balloons etc look more realistic! LOVE IT!

The other project I wanted to show you used more products from ‘It’s my Party’ Suite.

Confetti embossed coloured

Isn’t it lovely, so bright and cheerful? I used the Confetti Embossing Folder, then coloured the embossed card using Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo inks and sponges. Can you see the punched out Candle on top of the cake? Told you I would use the Candle punch from the Party Punch Pack hehe.

Well I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have made using a few of the new products from the Spring/Summer Catalogue and I hope you will have a go yourselves.

So now it’s time to hop on over to Lizy’s blog to see what amazing projects she has made with some new products.

Class Cardmaking, Last Class of 2015!

Hi,

OOPS! I forgot to post this! lol What am I! lol  Still as I’ve written it I might as well post it now lol.  Enjoy!

Well that’s it for 2015, well except for the get together next weekend for all my lovely Class customers.  I love this event, seeing all customers coming together, chatting away enthusing about my classes, me hehe, and crafting!  Throughout the Christmas Themed Workshops, I had Raffle Tickets on sale and this will be held during the get together.  Lots of lovely cakes as well as tea/coffee will be served, and the cakes are made by some of the customers/friends so I don’t have to lol.  Read on to see what we made in our last class.

Anyway my last classes were last weekend and were so much fun! We made 10 cards and one Gift bag from One Sheet of Designer Series Paper!  Thanks to Chic n Scratch for her Inspiration and Template.  I changed it slightly and used our Stampin’Up! Notecards. These Notecards/envelopes are great for making multiple cards as you get 20 notecards and 20 envelopes in a pack for £5.50.  This technique is also great for this time of year when you have soooo many Christmas Cards to make and send out! lol

I am looking forward to 2016 and resuming my Classes with Brand New Products from the New Spring/Summer Catalogue that comes out on 5 January 2016.  If you fancy joining me in my classes or live too far away but would love to do the projects, please let me know. My aim is to do Online Classes next year, so keep checking back with me and my blog.

Mixture of a blog, Brussels, stamps etc

Hi,

Well this is just a mixture of a blog today because I have got so many exciting things to tell you! Yes, I went to Brussels to Stampin’Up! Onstage Live!  It was extra special for me because it was the first time I had earned CentreStage, which is for those Leaders of Teams who had promoted to Silver 2 or Silver Elite and above!  It was a great time meeting up with fellow Demonstrators from Europe, as well as other Countries, Australia, America, Canada etc.  We had a very sad moment when we all heard the news about Paris because we had Demonstrators from France, who obviously were very upset.  These lovely ladies are our ‘sisters’ and we all united and comforted each other and decided to carry on the convention if a little subdued.

I will be posting pictures of the event along with my swap and other swaps I received plus all the freebies in the next couple of days, but I also wanted to tell you about the latest offer on stamps!

For a limited time only (16 – 20 NOVEMBER ONLY) you can get 20% discount on selected Stamp Sets! That is an amazing offer, so don’t miss out, click on the link on my sidebar which will take you to my online shop where you will see all the lovely stamp sets you can order.  In case you miss the link here it is also 20% Discount on Stamps

It is also that time of year when we start to say goodbye to some of our products from our Autumn/Winter Catalogue.  Before they go you have the chance to purchase them if you haven’t already. So click on the link on my sidebar or here’s the link Retiring Autumn/Winter Stock

Come back soon to see what I got upto in Brussels.

Thanks

Wow what a project this month!

Hi,
Well my classes said they wanted a challenge to make something different, so who was I to refuse! lol Wow what a project this month!

The three classes I ran this month made the same card-I did have another project in hand ‘in case’ they managed to finish this one, but I defeated them! lol

Angled Crossover Card Front

Angled Crossover Card Front

I designed an ‘Angled Crossover Card’, which was in itself a new Folding technique they hadn’t done before, plus stamping all over the base card to look like Designer speciality paper. Then covered the card in lovely butterflies to give it a real ‘WOW’ Factor!

First of all I cut and scored the two pieces of whisper white cs so they slotted together to make the ‘Angled Crossover Base’. Then I used the Garden in Bloom Stamp set which is a 2-step stamp set. First of all I stamped all the outlines of the flowers, stems, leaves and bees using the outline stamps and Black Stazon Ink. Then filled them in with different coloured Inks using the Fill-in stamps from the same stamp set, really good value this stamp set! Once all sides of the base card were stamped all over, I then sponged all over all sides with Pool Party and a sponge dauber. This was very subtle but really enhanced the flowers etc. Once completed, slot the two pieces together to make the cross-over angled card.

To finish off I stamped large and small butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Daffodil Delight Inks. I punched them out using the matching Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches. These then had their wings curled using a bone folder, stuck one on top of another to make 4x of each size/colour butterfly and stuck onto the card using Glue dots.

I stamped and fussy cut two Dragonflies from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp set and Wild Wasabi Ink. These were stuck one on top of the other with 2-way glue pen, the wings curled and stuck to card with glue dots. Finally, I stamped Best wishes from Petite Pairs stamp set, punched out with Washi Label Punch and stuck to front of card with a Dimensional and stuck another piece of whisper white cs on back of card to write on.

I hope you agree with me and my classes that it really is a magnificant card, well worth the time and effort to make. Has to be a very special person that receives this card! lol

Best get off lots more to design and prepare for my next Christmas Themed Workshop, oh and my Coffee n Card next week!
Thanks for dropping by!
