Brayering Technique – February Classes

Brayering technique went down really well at my February Classes! Everyone absolutely loved it! Orders for the Sponge Brayers flooded in, so be prepared Stampin’Up! hehe

What am I talking about you ask? Well brayering is where you take a sponge brayer and some ink pads and roll the sponge brayer which you have inked up with your chosen coloured ink, and roll it over a piece of  shimmery white cardstock to create some magic!  Still not clear? hehe well why not go to my youtube video tutorial page and click on the ‘Sponge Brayering Technique Video’.

If you fall in love with the brayering technique as much as my lovely ladies that do ‘class’ lol and would love to make the gorgeous card illustrated in the video, then why not order the products (see post Brayering February Class post ) and once the order goes through I will email you the tutorial to make the gorgeous card.  Better still if you live locally, why not join me for a 1-2-1.

Here are the two cards we made this month in my February Classes – both using the brayering technique!

Thank You Card

Hi,

I thought I would show you my latest ‘Thank You’ Card I made and gave to my customers that ordered from me this month.

star of light embossed star of light inside

Isn’t it gorgeous! I used the amazing Star of Light Bundle  and used Copper Embossing Powder  for the swirly stars behind the large stars.  The Large star, which also has a smaller star on top of it (sorry picture not too good) was cut out using the new Copper Foil Sheets!  Behind the Embossed Whisper White, I used the new Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. It goes so well with the Copper Foil Sheets don’t you think?  Of course the Glimmer paper is just the right product for Halloween too!  Bet you’re wondering where the tiny heart cut outs are from? Well, when you cut out the intricate stars, these hearts are left behind.  So instead of throwing them away, I’ve used some on this card, and the rest I will put into a gorgeous shaker card!

The Inside of the card is simple but so effective, again using stamps from the Star of Light Stamp Set and Pumpkin Pie Ink.

All of the new products are in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue, which, if you do not have yet in your hands, you can contact me and I will send one out to you straightaway.  Of course if you can’t wait to get your hands on it, you can click on the Autumn/Winter Catalogue Link above, and have a look at all the gorgeous new products you can get hold of today!

Place an order for these products I’ve used today and I will send you (once your order has gone through) a FREE Tutorial on how to make not just this card, but the shaker card I made using the left over cut outs!  You must leave your contact details when placing your order, giving me permission to contact you otherwise I won’t be able to send you these Tutorials.  Of course you will also get an exclusive ‘Thank you’ Card made by me, for placing the order with me too!

Below is a table of all the products I used to make this card.

Enjoy and place that order today, to get the two FREE Tutorials and a lovely Thank you card! Remember to allow me to contact you when placing your order!

Pinkies Blog Hop – Saleabration

blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using new Stampin’ Up!® products that you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration. Simply use the buttons at the end of of each post to keep hopping!

There are so many gorgeous products in this years Sale-a-Bration Catalogue, that you will definitely want to place an order and get those FREEBIES! lol I love them all and again it was hard choosing just one to showcase for you. So I thought I would show you the gorgeous Vellum Stack, Botanical Gardens and the Botanicals For You stamp set.  These two coordinate beautifully and in fact you will find they coordinate well with other stamps and papers in our new spring/summer catalogue.

Here is the first project I have made for you.

botanical vellum treat bag

As you can see I have done a beautiful gift bag in Vellum. First of all I stamped the words ‘Just for You, from Botanicals For You stamp set, using Rose Red Ink. Then using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the words exactly over the top, I heat embossed the words over the top with Clear Embossing Powder. Using clear embossing powder is a great way to get all the colours you wish for. Isn’t it gorgeous! To make it stand out even more I have sponged on the back of the vellum using Rose Red ink and a sponge dauber. I also coloured the larger flowers on the back with crushed curry marker pen.

Botanicals card

Next I made a lovely coordinating card to go with it.  Again I have used some of the same Vellum, and stuck it to some Rose Red Cardstock, using Glue dots in the corners.  To hide the glue dots, I have added large pearls over the top. I stamped flowers from the Botanicals For You stamp set onto Shimmery White CS, using Rose Red, Perfect plum and crushed curry Inks. I stuck the flowers on the vellum using glue dots and added tiny pearls to each of them. Finally I stamped ‘…on your special day’ from the same stamp set on shimmery white cs with crushed curry ink, flagged one end using paper snips and stuck it to the card with dimensionals.  Can you see I added the single crushed curry flower to the banner which I think makes it ‘special’!

Give these together to someone special and they will be bowled over!

Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at my projects and I hope you will pop back soon to see how I have coordinated these Sale-a-bration Freebies with other products from the spring/summer catalogue.

So now it’s time to hop on over to Camille’s blog to see what amazing projects she has made with some new products.

Heat Embossing, Vellum, Ribbon

Hi,

I had a great time last Thursday with a lovely lady who comes every Thursday for a 1-2-1 with me.  This week I taught her how to heat emboss on vellum and how to colour in.  The second card, she wanted to do a card using ribbon so I taught her how to stamp onto small pieces of card even when the stamp is larger than the card and how to attach the ribbon.

As you can see from the pictures below of the two cards we did, they were gorgeous and alot of techniques are shown.  I have also made a couple of videos showing how I made these cards, so click on the photo and it will take you to the video.  The video/pictures are also on the tutorial page for future reference should you wish to look at them again.

Thanks for dropping by.

Christmas Themed Workshop – Brilliant!

Hi,

Another Christmas Themed Workshop – Brilliant!  A Brilliant Christmas Themed Workshop last Friday which was so full the table was chaos! lol  What a brilliant morning, full of crafting, filled with lovely ‘crafty’ people and amazing projects (if I do say so myself hehe) to be made.

I absolutely love these Workshops, as ladies from all of my Group Classes as well as those who attend my 1-2-1’s have a chance to meet those from the groups they do not usually meet, and ‘gossip’! lol  Friday’s workshop was full-on but everyone had a brilliant time and all the projects I designed were loved.  There was so much glitter thrown around, you should have seen the room! lol.

Here are the projects that were made and underneath each one is a supply list.  If you wish to purchase any of the products, please click on the product, which will take you to my Online shop where you can place your order and have them delivered directly to your door, in time to make your own for Christmas!

Christmas Workshop 21 22 August

Hi! I hope you are all well and starting to think about Christmas! Yes I know some of you may not have had your Summer Holiday yet, lol, me included! However in the crafting world we have to plan ahead and get our Christmas workshops booked and planned well in advance!

I’ve already done two and they were full, and very well received, so you can tell there are some ‘insane’ crafters lol like me out there!

My next Christmas Themed Workshops are Friday 21 August and Saturday 22 August.  The Friday workshop is already full, but there are still spaces on the Saturday workshop. So why not take a look at the projects you will be making and go to the Christmas Themed Workshop Page to book your place for the Saturday workshop.  These are great fun, you make 4 lovely projects, all designed by me, mostly cards, but also gift tags and gift packaging which you get to make too. There’s a raffle too and everyone that joins me at the workshops, whether it’s just one or all of them, can join me in December for my Christmas Get together when the raffle will be drawn.  All the prizes are Stampin’Up! products so you know they are worth having and refreshments will be served during the get together.

If you don’t live close enough to attend my classes/workshops, but you would love to make the projects, please email me and I can look into doing them as an online workshop, along with videos and written tutorials for you to purchase.

So here’s the projects, I hope you like them and they inspire you to go book a space and join me on Saturday 22 August.

I hope to hear from you soon and see you at the workshop.

Great Saturday Monthly Class!

Hi,

What a great Saturday Monthly Class! So much fun, very lively and we made two amazing Cards!

This is the first one: Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Congratulations Card:

Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Card  Closed Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Card

This card is really eye-catching and everyone that has seen some of the other versions I have made as well as this one has fallen in love with the concept and wanted to make one for themselves!  It fits nicely into a 5″ x 5″ envelope and when ‘blinged’ up well WOW! lol. To see more versions I have made take a look at my Gallery pages here or go to my Pinterest Boards.

We had half an hour remaining of the class so we made a simple birthday card using the Sweetbriar Rose Stamp set again and heat embossing:
Here’s the card:
Sweetbriar Rose Birthday Card

I will be teaching the classes this Friday and next Friday how to make them too, hope they have as much fun as the group last Saturday did and they love the cards too!

Here’s the supplies I used for both cards:
