Pinkies Blog Hop

blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

The New Spring/Summer Catalogue has sooo many gorgeous products it was sooo hard to choose one product to showcase.  I did eventually choose products from the ‘It’s My Party’ Suite which includes the Party Wishes Stamp Set, It’s my Party DSP Paper stack, which is 12″ X 12″.  I also used the ‘Confetti’ Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and finally the Party Punch Pack, so small and cute, but gives a huge Punch! lol

Here is the first Card I made, it is a Slider Card which is great fun and interactive.

slider front

This is the slider Card closed, waiting to reveal its ‘secret’!  Isn’t the It’s my Party DSP Paper Stack so bright and cheerful” I love it!

slider card pulled up

Here the slider is pulled up to reveal the sentiment underneath and on the pulled up Tag more embellishment! There are so many Stamps in the Party Wishes Stamp Set, so much choice.

slider card inside

I decorated the inside of the card too!  This time I stamped the Cupcakes and the Balloons (again from the Party Wishes Stamp Set) then punched them out using the Party Punch Pack. The three strings for the balloons were stamped using Archival Black Ink.

There are three punches in the Party Punch Pack; the cupcake, balloon and the candle (which I have used in my other project).  They are so cute and what is also great about them, you will no longer have white edging around the stamped images when they are punched out because the punches are slightly smaller than the stamps! Brilliant, making the balloons etc look more realistic! LOVE IT!

The other project I wanted to show you used more products from ‘It’s my Party’ Suite.

Confetti embossed coloured

Isn’t it lovely, so bright and cheerful? I used the Confetti Embossing Folder, then coloured the embossed card using Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo inks and sponges. Can you see the punched out Candle on top of the cake? Told you I would use the Candle punch from the Party Punch Pack hehe.

Well I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have made using a few of the new products from the Spring/Summer Catalogue and I hope you will have a go yourselves.

So now it’s time to hop on over to Lizy’s blog to see what amazing projects she has made with some new products.

Great Saturday Monthly Class!

Hi,

What a great Saturday Monthly Class! So much fun, very lively and we made two amazing Cards!

This is the first one: Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Congratulations Card:

Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Card  Closed Sweetbriar Double Gatefold Card

This card is really eye-catching and everyone that has seen some of the other versions I have made as well as this one has fallen in love with the concept and wanted to make one for themselves!  It fits nicely into a 5″ x 5″ envelope and when ‘blinged’ up well WOW! lol. To see more versions I have made take a look at my Gallery pages here or go to my Pinterest Boards.

We had half an hour remaining of the class so we made a simple birthday card using the Sweetbriar Rose Stamp set again and heat embossing:
Here’s the card:

I will be teaching the classes this Friday and next Friday how to make them too, hope they have as much fun as the group last Saturday did and they love the cards too!

Here’s the supplies I used for both cards:

Coffee n Card Afternoon

Had a lovely afternoon last Thursday at No.9 Cafe, Bishops Cleeve when I held my first Coffee n Card session.

A couple of lovely ladies sat and chatted, enjoyed a drink and made a lovely card.  One of them kindly took some pictures for me and here’s me holding up the card we made.  The other lady didn’t fancy her picture being taken, so here’s her ‘hands’ lol punching out a butterfly!

My next Coffee n Card Afternoon is Thursday 23rd July 2-3pm, so put the date and time in your diary and pop along. There will be a choice of two projects, either a lovely card using a lovely Stamp Set;  Sprinkles of Life, or a Curvy Keepsake box made into a lovely ‘critter’. Pop back here next week when I will be revealing the two projects for you to choose from! For now here’s a few projects I have made in the past with both the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits Dies just to ‘wet’ your appetite.

I Went to Telford with some of my Team!

Last Friday and Saturday I went to a Stampin’Up! Regional Training event in Telford. Some of my amazing Team came with me and it was great fun, full of inspirational fellow Stampin’Up! Demonstrators, inspirational ideas and of course the Sneak Peak of the ‘All-New’ Stampin’Up! Catalogue, which comes out 2 June 2015!

On the Friday I met my Upliner, Michelle Last and other Team Leaders at Telford for Afternoon Tea and to talk about our Businesses, where we want to be in twelve months time, and lots of other inspirational chatter. Mind there was also alot of eating, cream cakes, the odd sandwich and lots of tea and coffee!

Here’s a Photo of us all!

Some Amazing and Inspirational Leaders!

We then went out for a lovely meal, which was a fitting end to a year filled with hard work, developing our Teams, giving support and having a great time crafting with our customers and Teams. Thanks to Michelle Last for organising this and as you can see from the Photo I had a gorgeous piece of Fillet Steak! The puddings were so huge we had one between the 7 of us! lol

Fillet Steak, Chips, Salad, oh and on top a huge slice of onion and half a tomato!

The following day (Saturday) was the Regional Training Day, and some of my Team travelled up together to spend the day with me and hopefully go away filling inspired! There were about 350 fellow Stampin’Up! Demonstrators there and you can imagine the buzz around the room as everyone swapped their swaps – this is a project that we all make lots of and swap with other Demonstrators, so we go home with lots of ideas for our classes or just for ourselves to make cards etc.

Here is my Swap:

I have produced a video on Youtube which shows you how to do the Brayering technique, so please click on this link and take a look.  Brayering Technique

We all had a fantastic time at Telford, watching demonstrations, listening to inspirationals talks about Stampin’Up! and their vision for their future as well as ours. You may be thinking ‘ooh a lot of business talk, not my cup of tea’, but you would be wrong! There was also alot of examples of cards and other projects that were made with some of the Brand New products. We also of course had ‘Prize Patrol’! This is such a fun time, where were all got a prize and others got more! Go check out my Gallery page for lots of photos of some of the projects we got to see.

You too could join me next year, or even come with me to Brussels in November for our Brand New looking Convention – OnStage Live! For more information please contact me and I can tell you all about what I do, what Stampin’Up! is and you could be browsing through the Brand New Catalogue that is out 2 June 2015!

Thanks for dropping by and look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to my new Website!

Me, Sue

Me, Sue

Hiya,
I just want to welcome you to my brand new website and look forward to inspiring you to create and learn how to make some fantastic cards etc. I want to first of all thank Catherine Carroll for designing and building my website.

So, what are you going to see as you pop in and out of my website? Well, as you can see from I have a few pages. lol
Classes – You will find details about the types of classes I run, usually at Sue’s crafting place, but sometimes elsewhere (numbers dependent). There are descriptions of the different types of classes I run, where and cost, so keep an eye on that page.
Workshops – Is really the same as classes, but under there are details about my 1-2-1 classes, the sort of things you could do in those.
Tutorials – A place where you can see the information about the tutorials I give out at my classes. Once you purchase them, they will be emailed to you as a PDF. Linked to some of these will be youtube videos which again once you have purchased the tutorial you will have unlimited access to. Some tutorials are FREE as are some of the Youtube videos, so watch out for those too!
The Gallery page is full of the different cards/projects I have made and is linked to my Pinterest boards, so check those out for inspiration!
On Line Shop – Of course once you’ve been inspired, you’ll want to purchase the products I have used, so click on the Online Shop page and it will take you to my online shop. Place an order and it will be delivered direct to your door!
About Me – Last but not least, is the About Me page, which I suppose you should go to first, as it tells you a little about me and my business and what I do.

I hope you will keep popping back here and check out all the different pages, as I continue adding and building this website. Please be patient, I will get everything up here as quickly as I can, in between running all my classes and launching my new ones. In the meantime after taking this initial look and perhaps going to my Pinterest boards and Youtube videos, you like what you see and would like to join my classes, place an order or just want to know more about me and BB Card Designs, please drop me a comment. I would love to hear from you on what you think about my new website and if there is any technique or anything you would like to see on here.

Thanks for dropping by and please come back soon.
