Farewell Lunch

Yesterday was a very special day for me. Last month I decided to stop running my monthly classes and move my business in a new direction and venture. My ladies were all upset but understood why; some of them had been with me from the beginning 6+ years ago, and all had become great friends as well as my customers.
Anyway they decided to organise a Farewell Lunch for me. It was so wonderful to see everyone together and to realise how much they thought of me. I had some lovely cards and gifts from them which was so unexpected.
I had made everyone some lovely gifts and a card which I wrote personal words for each and everyone. That brought tears to a few eyes!
Here’s the gifts I made for everyone. The pendant, was made by my hubby, Mike as his thank you to everyone for supporting me and giving me purpose in life.

I shall miss our classes but am sure I will still catch up with these lovely ladies but it’s time to start a new venture!

I hope you will continue dropping by to see how I am progressing and see the new things I am doing!  Over the next week I will be posting video tutorials on how I made the gifts and cards above along with the products I used that you can order from me from my online shop.

August Class Projects

Hi,

I held my penultimate classes this weekend and they were great fun if not emotional.

As from October I will no longer be running my monthly classes at Sue’s Crafting Place, Bishops Cleeve but will be doing online videos/tutorials so I can reach a wider audience.  My hubby and I are also starting a new adventure together with our family so this seems the best time to make changes to my business.  I hope you will continue to support me and may be those of you who couldn’t come to my monthly classes will now be able to participate!

Here are the projects we made this month, I hope you like them and as ever if you want to order the products click on the various products which will take you to my online shop.  Remember spend £30+ with me and allow me to contact you and you will get unlimited access to the videos for these projects and the PDF tutorial will be emailed to you once the order has gone through.  Don’t forget to use the August Hostess Code in order to receive a FREE gift just from me!

My inspiration this month came from Dawn Griffith, a truly inspirational lady and fellow Demonstrator. Click on the two links below to see her projects.

May Hostess Code and this months class

Hi,

Yes I know I’m running a little late with issuing the May Hostess Code! lol  What can I say, but I’ve been so busy playing with some of the amazing pre-order us lucky Demonstrators get to order before the new Catalogue is released in June!  You are going to be amazed at how fantastic this new Annual Catalogue is! So many beautiful new stamp sets, all NEW Designer Series Papers which are to die for! On top of that there’s the new ribbons, new embellishments – oh and of course this year we have 5 yes 5 brand new In-Colors!  You have got to see them! I even bought a new dress which has matching flower colours to the new Lemon/lime Twist! lol

So why not place an order with me today from the retiring Catalogues to ensure you get a copy of the Brand New Catalogue when it’s released on 1 June! I will personally post one to you along with a bespoke card showcasing some of the gorgeous DSP and one of the New In-colors, along with a very useful bookmark again showing all the new In-colors, so you can mark your favourite page of stamps etc!  Remember to use the New Hostess Code (find it on my right side bar) and you will also receive a FREE gift from me (may even be some of the new Ribbon or embellishments!).

This months class is a small affair as alot of people are away or busy, so I have decided to make a more technical card – A Pivot Twist Card!  I made one of these months ago before they became the latest trend, but because it can take longer than some of my cards to make in a class, I have not been able to teach this one.

However as I say I only have one class of four coming on Saturday, so I thought now is a great opportunity to showcase the card!  Thanks goes to both  Tuppence coloured (here’s a link to her blog Tuppence Coloured) for her inspiration as well as Frances Martin (here’s a link to her Frances Martin) for help with making the pivot mechanism easier to teach).  I have written a tutorial and made a gorgeous card which I am looking forward to teaching tomorrow.

If you would like to get your hands on the tutorial so you can make this on-trend and amazing Pivot twist Card, then place an order (£20+) with me via my online shop using the new Hostess Code (M4S6FNBU).  As soon as I have received confirmation of your order, I will email you your Tutorial.  If you would like a Copy of the Brand New Catalogue, once you have placed your order, email me with your full details, including your postal address and I will post one out to you as soon as they are available.

I am also sorting out all the gorgeous new Ribbon and Dsp ready for you to get your hands on a Share of them all.  So if you fancy having a share of them, please email me with your details so I can let you know when they are ready to purchase.  Check back here in the next couple of weeks for more details.

High Tide Cards using Brayering and Sponging Techniques

Hi,

What happens when you put the High Tide Stamp Set together with the Brayering and Sponging Techniques?  Well, you get these amazing results! Two beautiful cards that we will be making in my Classes in April! Aren’t they just amazing! Thanks to Serenestamper for her inspiration for the sunset card. Here’s the link to her video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdO0djZ7VUo.  The second card I created myself and had a lightbulb moment! lol I had seen a few cards using either the Wink of Stella Pen https://www2.stampinup.com/ecweb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141897 to create glisten on the sea or whisper white craft ink https://www2.stampinup.com/ecweb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=101731 to create waves.  However I wanted more texture and suddenly thought, ‘Clear Embossing Powder’! https://www2.stampinup.com/ecweb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=109130 Well as you can see it made a fantastic card with lots of texture on the sea! I love it!

Here are the two projects, the first one was inspired by Serenestamper and the second one was my creation!

I hope you agree these projects are gorgeous and I hope you will want to make them too!

Celebrations are nearly over!

Well, the Celebrations are nearly over for another year but I thought you might like to see some of the cards I made for my loved ones as well as my customers and Team members.  Also included are  Commission Cards and birthday cards!  I have been sooooo busy this month, never thought I was going to get it all completed in time for Christmas!  I was making the family cards on Christmas Eve!!!! lol

Here’s the family ones first:

The first one I used ‘Shooting Stars’ stamp set and matching die and was for my hubby.  The next one used Jolly Friends and again a die from the sliding star framelits, for my Son.  My daughter and hubby got the Stocking one which is supposed to resemble a bannister with the stockings hanging from it (don’t think they realised that lol).  The last one and I must admit the most special was for our first grandchild for her 1st Christmas! A card in a box using Snow Place stamp set and matching dies (I’ve blurred out the baby pictures that are on the two side panels).  These were such fun to make, and when you have read the blog entry, you will realise why I was making these on Christmas Eve! lol

The next set of cards were ones I made for my Team and Customers as a thank you for their support over the last year.  I also made them all a small gift to show my appreciation:

The first card was for my Team members and I used the gorgeous Father Christmas Stamp set, absolutely adorable with so much detail. I loved using this stamp without colouring it in.  The second picture is the box I created holding all the gifts I made for my team members.  This time, having made the box using the Gift Box punch board, I stamped all the ‘mice’ images onto whisper white cs and coloured them in using the BRAND NEW Watercolour Pencils that are in the brand new Seasonal Catalogue! These will be available from my from 6 January, so if you want a copy of the catalogue please get in touch!  Once I had coloured the images in, I used an aquapainter to make it look watercoloured. Gorgeous and so much fun!

The third picture is of the card I made for my customers, a shaker card, using Mica Flakes and the shake and celebrate stamp set and matching dies.  You can even make the cut out resemble Christmas Tree, which I did but oops forgot to take a photo!  Take my word for it, lol it’s impressive! lol.  The beautiful lumiere jar was the gift I made for my customers and they loved them!  I used peaceful pines stamp set and matching dies on vellum, stuck it round the outside of the jar, washi tape around the lid along with dazzling diamond glimmer paper to cover top of lid with a beautiful red glimmer bow.  Inside is a battery operated tea light that changes colours and believe me when all your lights are turned down or off, it glows and shines beautifully!  In fact, I was asked how I had made it as one of my ladies wants to make some for herself!

Now for some Commission Cards, cards for friends and family too that I have made this month.  Told you it’s been a really busy month! lol

The first three cards were all Commissions.  The lovely gentleman asked for 9 Christmas cards and I’m not keen on making multiples of the same card, as you may have gathered lol, so these were just some and all different, oops again forgot to take photos of others lol, but they were all different.  He was thrilled with them.  I used merry tags dies and merriest wishes stamp set for the first three cards.  Then there’s a Gift Card holder, which, in fact I also made in my last Coffee n Card and made more for my own family.  The Santa coat card, I Cased from I think it may have been Gill Arnold, but sorry I can not be sure.

Next I made this amazing framed xmas scene for a friend of mine, as a decoration!  You see, she doesn’t put decorations up in her house, lol so I made this and now she has at least one ‘decoration’ to put up every year! lol.  As you can see I used lots of different stamp sets and dies, see if you can name them all! lol  The motorbike birthday card was for my cousin, unfortunately I was sooo caught up with xmas cards etc, I forgot to make it in time, so I made it a ‘belated’ one instead hehe.  Don’t think he minded! lol  I used Born to Ride stamp set and the card is a ‘z’ fold card, so much fun I have made lots using this technique and will be teaching it in my first class in January.

I used another z fold card to make this piggy card for a friends hubby (the same friend who doesn’t do xmas decorations hehe).  Her hubby is mad about pigs so I had to make a piggy one! lol  I used Playful pals to make the big pig and farmyard babies for little piggies.  As you can see the z fold technique is great for this type of card.  Notice yet another z fold card? Yep this time the crab at sea for brother in law! lol  The card in a box was the other commission card the gentleman asked me to make for his granddaughter. So elegant isn’t it, and very girly.  The final card is a chest of drawers with jumpers hanging out for a friends son who is mad about jumpers! lol.

Well I think that is about it for now.  Christmas is over and now I am back at it, getting ready for the biggest event of the Stampin’Up! Calendar, Saleabration!

So please check back very soon to see what’s on offer, what my new Classes are going to be making and if you fancy a party, do I have a deal for you!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
