June’s Class using Brand New Stamp Set!

Hi everyone,

June’s Class is upon us, a bit delayed due to me being on holiday!

As many of you will know we have a Brand New Annual Catalogue that came out on 1 June – whilst I was on holiday! lol So I’m all behind, oops sorry!

This months class is using two brand new stamp sets from this new Catalogue and as soon as I saw the Bright Wishes Stamp Set with the gorgeous and very detailed Wishing Well, I knew I had to have it!  I love watercolouring, and have done a few classes using watercolour pencils and blender pen and aquapainter.  However we never really had many detailed stamps to show off using the watercolouring techniques.  Now, we have so many I am going to be spending lots of money buying them all and teaching my class members how to get the most out of them – even those who aren’t keen on colouring hehe.

This month’s class is a prime example! My two projects are two very different cards and two different colouring techniques.  The first one is a Card with a box inside. When you open the card, it reveals the Wishing Well beautifully coloured in with Watercolour pencils and blended using a Blender Pen.  Gorgeous and brilliant because it folds flat so fit a normal size envelope and cheap to post! lol

This card would make a lovely Father’s Day or Birthday Card, or even if you added a bit more glitz a gorgeous female card!

The second card (thanks to Shelly Godby) is again using the Bright Wishes Stamp Set as well as Happy Birthday Gorgeous! Stamp set.  This card is a Monochrome Card and is using one of the Brand New In-Colors, Lemon Lime Twist! It is so vibrant, so bright, it’s amazing! I must admit when I first saw it, I wasn’t sure, but like most things once you get your hands on it, oh my goodness, you are soooo glad you did!!!

As you can see I’ve made this card as a birthday card, but again it would make a lovely Father’s Day card, or if you changed the colours a female card.

I am sure you will want to get your hands on these new products, so why not go to my online shop or contact me to get your hands on a hard copy of the Brand New Catalogue sent to you.

If you fancy making these two cards, place an order (minimum £30) via my online shop and once the order has gone through and you’ve allowed me to contact you, I will email you the tutorial for both cards.

Below are the products I have used to make these two cards.  Just click on each photo to place the order.  Remember to use the June Hostess Code (if your order is over £150 DO NOT USE IT) and I will send you a gift just from me to thank you for your order (you must give me permission to contact you, otherwise I won’t get your details).

Look forward to hearing from you soon!

Squash Book Tutorial

Hi,

Squash Books! Ever fancied making one and never knew how? Well, now you can, as I have made one (thanks to maymaymadeitcraft for her inspiration) and have written a Tutorial and done a video for you!

number of years squash book
I went to a Pinkies Training in Croughton recently, where fellow Pinkies Demonstrators meet up, and among other amazing activities we do throughout the day, we make Swaps showcasing a project that we have enjoyed making and swap it with our fellow Demonstrators.  My swap was a Squash Book, and I was thrilled that so many loved it and was asked if I would make a video.

number of years squash book open
So I thought I would share with you the Squash Book I made, along with the list of Supplies needed to make one yourselves.  Included in the Supply List is my Tutorial which you are welcome to use, but please give me credit! lol. I loved making this squash book and in fact one of my customers that comes every week for a 1-2-1 lesson, asked if I could show her how to make one so she could give it to someone special. I hope you like it too and have a go.
Click on each product to place an order and click on ‘supply list’ at the bottom of the tiled products to get access to the tutorial.

Pinkies Blog Hop – Saleabration

blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using new Stampin’ Up!® products that you can earn free during Sale-a-Bration. Simply use the buttons at the end of of each post to keep hopping!

There are so many gorgeous products in this years Sale-a-Bration Catalogue, that you will definitely want to place an order and get those FREEBIES! lol I love them all and again it was hard choosing just one to showcase for you. So I thought I would show you the gorgeous Vellum Stack, Botanical Gardens and the Botanicals For You stamp set.  These two coordinate beautifully and in fact you will find they coordinate well with other stamps and papers in our new spring/summer catalogue.

Here is the first project I have made for you.

botanical vellum treat bag

As you can see I have done a beautiful gift bag in Vellum. First of all I stamped the words ‘Just for You, from Botanicals For You stamp set, using Rose Red Ink. Then using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the words exactly over the top, I heat embossed the words over the top with Clear Embossing Powder. Using clear embossing powder is a great way to get all the colours you wish for. Isn’t it gorgeous! To make it stand out even more I have sponged on the back of the vellum using Rose Red ink and a sponge dauber. I also coloured the larger flowers on the back with crushed curry marker pen.

Botanicals card

Next I made a lovely coordinating card to go with it.  Again I have used some of the same Vellum, and stuck it to some Rose Red Cardstock, using Glue dots in the corners.  To hide the glue dots, I have added large pearls over the top. I stamped flowers from the Botanicals For You stamp set onto Shimmery White CS, using Rose Red, Perfect plum and crushed curry Inks. I stuck the flowers on the vellum using glue dots and added tiny pearls to each of them. Finally I stamped ‘…on your special day’ from the same stamp set on shimmery white cs with crushed curry ink, flagged one end using paper snips and stuck it to the card with dimensionals.  Can you see I added the single crushed curry flower to the banner which I think makes it ‘special’!

Give these together to someone special and they will be bowled over!

Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at my projects and I hope you will pop back soon to see how I have coordinated these Sale-a-bration Freebies with other products from the spring/summer catalogue.

So now it’s time to hop on over to Camille’s blog to see what amazing projects she has made with some new products.

Pinkies Blog Hop

blog hop logo

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

The New Spring/Summer Catalogue has sooo many gorgeous products it was sooo hard to choose one product to showcase.  I did eventually choose products from the ‘It’s My Party’ Suite which includes the Party Wishes Stamp Set, It’s my Party DSP Paper stack, which is 12″ X 12″.  I also used the ‘Confetti’ Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and finally the Party Punch Pack, so small and cute, but gives a huge Punch! lol

Here is the first Card I made, it is a Slider Card which is great fun and interactive.

slider front

This is the slider Card closed, waiting to reveal its ‘secret’!  Isn’t the It’s my Party DSP Paper Stack so bright and cheerful” I love it!

slider card pulled up

Here the slider is pulled up to reveal the sentiment underneath and on the pulled up Tag more embellishment! There are so many Stamps in the Party Wishes Stamp Set, so much choice.

slider card inside

I decorated the inside of the card too!  This time I stamped the Cupcakes and the Balloons (again from the Party Wishes Stamp Set) then punched them out using the Party Punch Pack. The three strings for the balloons were stamped using Archival Black Ink.

There are three punches in the Party Punch Pack; the cupcake, balloon and the candle (which I have used in my other project).  They are so cute and what is also great about them, you will no longer have white edging around the stamped images when they are punched out because the punches are slightly smaller than the stamps! Brilliant, making the balloons etc look more realistic! LOVE IT!

The other project I wanted to show you used more products from ‘It’s my Party’ Suite.

Confetti embossed coloured

Isn’t it lovely, so bright and cheerful? I used the Confetti Embossing Folder, then coloured the embossed card using Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo inks and sponges. Can you see the punched out Candle on top of the cake? Told you I would use the Candle punch from the Party Punch Pack hehe.

Well I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have made using a few of the new products from the Spring/Summer Catalogue and I hope you will have a go yourselves.

So now it’s time to hop on over to Lizy’s blog to see what amazing projects she has made with some new products.
