Subscribe to my Website

Hi,

I am in the process of moving my business in a new direction, and I would love to have you all subscribe to my blog so that you don’t miss my gorgeous projects and can follow me and join me in my new venture!

As many of you know, I ran for many many years classes in my own home with a lot of absolutely amazing ladies, who came every month and made my classes an absolute joy!  I began to find that my classes were becoming so big and I was needing to do more and more classes each month, which in turn meant I had a lot more prepping to do for all the classes.  I kept getting more enquiries about joining my classes, so after a lot of thought and soul searching, I made the ?brave? lol decision that perhaps it was time to make some changes in my business and do it online!  I know every single lady from my classes was upset and didn’t want me to stop running the classes at my home, but I knew it was time for me to make changes.

So in the coming months you will see this blog start to change, but my name BB Card Designs will still be ‘me’ lol.  The picture above will be prominent on all my social media sites – youtube, pinterest, facebook, twitter, instagram, so if you see either or both you will know it’s still lil ole me! lol.

If you have already subscribed to this blog brilliant, but if you have subscribed but may be are not receiving notifications when I have put a new post up, it may be that you didn’t complete the 2-steps to subscribing.

Firstly, under the word ‘subscribe’ on my side bar there is a box.  Please fill in your email address and click submit.  You will then be sent an email to that address you entered, which you must open and click on the link within that email so that your subscription is then activated!  lol Honest it’s not complicated, lol.  You will then be told your subscription was successful, but I promise you I will not be bombarding you with spam, just honest to goodness amazing projects, products etc to get you crafting!

Now, again many of you know I have a Youtube Channel, well actually I have two! lol.  I noticed the other day, that I used to upload my videos I made to Sue Hall on youtube and I have hundreds of followers on there.  Now however, I upload them to BB Card Designs Channel, because my business is so big now I don’t feel I need to be known so much as Sue Hall lol.  Only problem is I only have about 8 followers to my BB Card Designs! boo hoo! lol.  Could I ask you, pretty please, if you can check which youtube channel you subscribed to in order to watch my videos and if it was Sue Hall, could you subscribe to BB Card Designs too?  That way, you will see ALL my videos, regardless of when I put them up!

Below are the links you can click on to go to my social media sites:

Now I know this blog is a wee bit boring, but I wanted to ensure you are up to date with what I am doing.

Stamparatus Wow!

As promised in my post the other day, I now have the Stamparatus in my hands, and have been having so much fun using it and making videos showcasing it.

Here’s the moment I got my Stamparatus!

lol Can you tell I was oh so excited! lol  The excitement hasn’t worn off either it’s as good as I hoped it would and in fact it’s even better!  Did you see how I absolutely loved the fact we have both inches and centimetres in the rulers lol. I know that may sound sad to some of you but hey I like my inches! lol

After opening up and revealing my Stamparatus and trying to calm myself down, I then had a go at stamping with it.  As you will see in this next video, I decided to compare how I used to do 2 step stamping using my Stamp-a-ma-jig with doing it using the Stamparatus!  Now this is my own opinion but I think once you have seen the video you will agree with me it’s fantastic, and well worth having!

I found it was so easy to use straightaway.  One thing I did find I was doing wrong and you will see this in the video (no cover ups lol) was when doing the second step, I lined the second stamp up using the edge of the rubber mount instead of the picture to ensure it lined up properly.  Watch the video to see how I got round it and the slight error lol.

So I think you will agree the Stamparatus is a Tool that you will use time and time again!  If you haven’t reserved yours do it now! Click on my ‘Reserve yours Today’ button to reserve yours and be ready to receive it after 19 March!  You’ve only got a few more hours to reserve yours, so don’t delay!

Come back soon to see how I got on making a gorgeous card using the Cake Soiree Stamp set that I used in the second video.  I will show you how easy it was to stamp multiple images at once, and how to stamp them multiple times down a piece of cardstock, using the ‘Hinge’ method.  Also how easy it is, time saving and in my opinion saving on wastage of cardstock and therefore keeping more money in your pocket!

‘Til next time, thanks for dropping by.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Farewell & Thank you gifts

Hi,

So I’ve taken a momentous step in my business,  in closing down my classes and doing more online, blogging, video tutorials, product shares and Team building.

I have been running classes, teaching like minded crafters as well as total beginners – well most of them were complete beginners lol, how to make some amazing cards and techniques for the past 6+ years.

Along the way, many of my customers have become great friends, so I decided I wanted to make some lovely Thank you gifts & cards to show how much it has meant to me to have them join me every month for my classes.  Some of them have been with me from the very beginning even before I set up the business, while I was learning my trade.

Over the next few days I will be sharing with you the gifts I made and how I made them.  I gave them out at my farewell lunch they organised for me as their way of thanking me!

The first is a Pizza Box pop up calendar, post it & pen holder.  It is primarily made from a pizza box which we sell and are in our Seasonal catalogue.  It is a great little box, food friendly, so you could use it to put homemade cookies in and gift wrap it for a loved one.  It will also hold our 3″ x 3″ envelopes so why not make some gorgeous cards and give it as a gift at Christmas?

Here are the measurements for the Cardstock (CS), inks etc I used.  There are images below the video with links to my Online shop for you to order any or all of the products. I used four different colours of CS to make 4 different coloured boxes.  So just substitute the coloured CS for the colour you like best:

1x PIZZA BOX (score box lid @ 2¾” from flap edge)

LEMON LIME TWIST CS 3⅜” X 3⅜” x2 (for top & bottom of box)

LEMON LIME TWIST CS 3⅜” X ⅞” x4 (for sides of box)

WHISPER WHITE CS 3¼” X 3¼” x1 (for bottom of box)

WHISPER WHITE CS 3¼” X 1¼” (for top)

WHISPER WHITE CS 3¼” X 6/8” x4 (for sides of box)

WHISPER WHITE CS 1⅝” x ⅝” (for Pen holder), SCORED @ ⅜”, ⅝, FROM BOTH ENDS

EASTERN BEAUTY STAMP SET

MARBLED STAMP SET

LEMON AND LIME TWIST INK PAD

TUXEDO BLACK MOMENTO INK PAD

TRIMMER/SCORER

BONE FOLDER

TEAR N TAPE ADHESIVE

TOMBOW MULTIPURPOSE GLUE

PAPER SNIPS

Click on the video link to see how it’s made.

Why not order some pizza boxes and have a go yourself?  Everything I used is listed below, just click on the image to go to my online shop and place an order.

If you like what you see, why not pop back tomorrow to see the next gift I made for my lovely ladies.

Thanks for dropping by.

I Went to Telford with some of my Team!

Last Friday and Saturday I went to a Stampin’Up! Regional Training event in Telford. Some of my amazing Team came with me and it was great fun, full of inspirational fellow Stampin’Up! Demonstrators, inspirational ideas and of course the Sneak Peak of the ‘All-New’ Stampin’Up! Catalogue, which comes out 2 June 2015!

On the Friday I met my Upliner, Michelle Last and other Team Leaders at Telford for Afternoon Tea and to talk about our Businesses, where we want to be in twelve months time, and lots of other inspirational chatter. Mind there was also alot of eating, cream cakes, the odd sandwich and lots of tea and coffee!

Here’s a Photo of us all!

We then went out for a lovely meal, which was a fitting end to a year filled with hard work, developing our Teams, giving support and having a great time crafting with our customers and Teams. Thanks to Michelle Last for organising this and as you can see from the Photo I had a gorgeous piece of Fillet Steak! The puddings were so huge we had one between the 7 of us! lol

Fillet Steak, Chips, Salad, oh and on top a huge slice of onion and half a tomato!

The following day (Saturday) was the Regional Training Day, and some of my Team travelled up together to spend the day with me and hopefully go away filling inspired! There were about 350 fellow Stampin’Up! Demonstrators there and you can imagine the buzz around the room as everyone swapped their swaps – this is a project that we all make lots of and swap with other Demonstrators, so we go home with lots of ideas for our classes or just for ourselves to make cards etc.

Here is my Swap:

This is such a fun time, where were all got a prize and others got more! Go check out my Gallery page for lots of photos of some of the projects we got to see.

Welcome to my new Website!

Me, Sue

Me, Sue

Hiya,
I just want to welcome you to my brand new website and look forward to inspiring you to create and learn how to make some fantastic cards etc. I want to first of all thank Catherine Carroll for designing and building my website.

So, what are you going to see as you pop in and out of my website? Well, as you can see from I have a few pages. lol
Classes – You will find details about the types of classes I run, usually at Sue’s crafting place, but sometimes elsewhere (numbers dependent). There are descriptions of the different types of classes I run, where and cost, so keep an eye on that page.
Workshops – Is really the same as classes, but under there are details about my 1-2-1 classes, the sort of things you could do in those.
Tutorials – A place where you can see the information about the tutorials I give out at my classes. Once you purchase them, they will be emailed to you as a PDF. Linked to some of these will be youtube videos which again once you have purchased the tutorial you will have unlimited access to. Some tutorials are FREE as are some of the Youtube videos, so watch out for those too!
The Gallery page is full of the different cards/projects I have made and is linked to my Pinterest boards, so check those out for inspiration!
On Line Shop – Of course once you’ve been inspired, you’ll want to purchase the products I have used, so click on the Online Shop page and it will take you to my online shop. Place an order and it will be delivered direct to your door!
About Me – Last but not least, is the About Me page, which I suppose you should go to first, as it tells you a little about me and my business and what I do.

I hope you will keep popping back here and check out all the different pages, as I continue adding and building this website. Please be patient, I will get everything up here as quickly as I can, in between running all my classes and launching my new ones. In the meantime after taking this initial look and perhaps going to my Pinterest boards and Youtube videos, you like what you see and would like to join my classes, place an order or just want to know more about me and BB Card Designs, please drop me a comment. I would love to hear from you on what you think about my new website and if there is any technique or anything you would like to see on here.

Thanks for dropping by and please come back soon.
